A Lego Batman movie, based upon Batman from The Lego Movie has been officially announced by Christopher Miller on Twitter. The Lego Movie co-director said “It’s true. So excited,” with the hashtags “Darkness” and “No Parents,” and the following photo:
Will Arnett will be reprising his role as the voice of Batman, and the movie is being fast-tracked for a targeted release of 2017 according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.
The Lego Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay will direct; with Chris Miller, Phil Lord, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin on board as producers; and Seth-Grame Smith writing the script.
This Lego Batman movie will reportedly release before the planned Lego Movie sequel.
