Martin Riggs was portrayed famously by Mel Gibson in 1987’s Lethal Weapon and now the iconic role has been cast for the TV reboot.
According to Variety, Clayne Crawford, star of Rectify and Graceland, will take on the leading role in FOX’s Lethal Weapon TV pilot. He joins Damon Wayans, Sr., who will play Roger Murtaugh.

The show will center around Crawford’s character who moves to Los Angeles in search of a fresh start, joining the LAPD and partnering with Wayans’ Murtaugh in the process.
Having now cast its starring role, Lethal Weapon‘s TV pilot will begin the production phase shortly.
