London Has Fallen gets new director

London Has Fallen has a new director: Babak Najafi. Quickly replacing Fredrik Bond, who split a short while back over ‘creative differences’, Najafi has had experience directing Easy Money: Hard to Kill, the second in the Swedish thriller film series. When the sequel was greenlit, it came as no surprise; Olympus Has Fallen was a reasonable action hit for 2013, even when it was followed by the painfully similar White House Down. Out in October 2015, Both Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman are returning, and seeing the action of London Has Fallen change its Washington-set scenery for that of the UK will hopefully shake things up.
