Margot Robbie to star in “Braveheart meets Game Of Thrones” spinoff

Margot Robbie has signed up to a film with a tone being described as “Braveheart meets Game Of Thrones”. The movie is a spinoff from Robin Hood, with the story set to center around his lover, Maid Marian, who the Suicide Squad star will portray.

According to Deadline, the film will begin with Robin Hood’s tragic death, prompting Marian to assume his mission to “rob from the rich and give to the poor”. She then leads her people to battle and “rises as a legend herself”.

Her role is described as “serious and truly gritty”. The director and her fellow cast are yet to be announced.

Robbie is currently working on I, Tonya, a biopic of famous American figure skater Tonya Harding.
