Marion Cotillard joins the cast of Assassin’s Creed

The Assassin’s Creed film keeps getting more exciting; Marion Cotillard, Oscar-winning actor, has just joined the cast of the film, which also features Michael Fassbender as the lead. While her role is yet unknown, it ups the potential quality for this video game adaptation by having a performer of such high calibre board the project (along with the reassuring fact that Ubisoft, the company behind the game series, are closely overlooking proceedings.) This also follows news that Assassin’s Creed began production last week, along with a release date of December 21, 2016.
