Mark Ruffalo “desperately” wants to join Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII. In an interview with Collider, he said he emailed the director about being cast in the film, since the two men previously worked together on The Brothers Bloom. “My email to Rian after all these years was, ‘Rian, congratulations on everything you’ve been doing. And by the way, if there’s a part in Star Wars, please, anything, please consider considering me to join you,'” said Ruffalo. Time will tell if he gets a part.
