Mark Wahlberg has announced that he’s left the Uncharted movie.
Wahlberg told We Got This Covered that he is no longer “attached” to star as Nathan Drake in the film:
“As of now, no, I’m not attached,” he said.
The Boogie Nights actor has been rumored to play the treasure hunter for the last five years and did seem to be on board until now.
Recently, Stranger Things director Shawn Levy signed up to helm the video-game adaptation.

Levy has confirmed that he now has several different actors in mind for the role of Nathan Drake and also described the film as having a “really cool and unique plot.”
A release date is yet to be set for Uncharted, but Levy hopes to start shooting early next year.
