Martin Freeman to star in more Marvel films
Martin Freeman is set for a small role in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War but according to Marvel man Kevin Feige, he is set to stick around for future Marvel productions.
“He’s under the cloak of secrecy,” Feige told Entertainment Weekly. “There are a lot of amazing actors in this movie. Some of them play larger roles than others. And in some cases there are some you will meet ever so briefly in this film and then will be expanded upon in future films. [Martin] falls into that latter category.”
Freeman recently revealed that his character will be working for the American government, and teased that it will be hard to work out whether he’s a goodie or a baddie.
“He works in conjunction with the superheroes and certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes’ power,” the actor explained.
“You’re not quite sure which side he’s on. It looks a little bit like he’s playing one game, when he’s playing another.”
Captain America: Civil War opens on April 29, 2016 in the UK.
