Matt Damon has confirmed he will return to the role of Jason Bourne. Close friend Ben Affleck broke the news and Damon confirmed when speaking to E! News. He told them he will be reuniting with director Paul Greengrass for the duo’s third Bourne film together – which will be the fifth film in the franchise overall – and said “It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out.”
