Mel Gibson has surprisingly revealed his interest in directing Marvel’s Iron Man 4.
Gibson told Total Film that it could be “fun” to take the helm for the superhero’s fourth solo-outing:
“It might be fun. You’d have to figure out a way to be different with that.” he said.
Gibson on directing duties for 2006’s Apocalypto.
The actor-turned-director was responding to Robert Downey Jr’s previous comments that he would do Iron Man 4 if Gibson signs up.
So could Marvel make the unlikely move? One thing is for sure.. DC won’t be approaching Gibson anytime soon after he recently called Batman vs Superman a “piece of s***”.
Meanwhile, Gibson’s latest film Hacksaw Ridge hit US theaters earlier this month and you can see the trailer below:
