New Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Details
The plot for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been revealed via Entertainment Weekly. This prequel to the Harry Potter series will tell the story of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a magizoologist who travels to New York. In the English wizard’s case are a number of “rare and endangered magical creatures” he’s assembled from across the globe.
Upon arriving in America, Newt crosses paths with some wizards hiding from Muggles (Oh sorry, No-Majs). One notable wizard Newt encounters is Katherine Waterston’s Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, who works for the United States Magical Congress. Alison Sudol will play Queenie Goldstein, Tina’s younger sister with the power to read minds. Dan Fogler will be playing Jacob Kowalski, an “optimistic No-Maj” who is introduced to the wizarding world through Newt.
The film will also star Colin Farrell’s Graves, “a powerful auror,” and Samantha Morton’s Mary Lou, “narrow-minded leader of the fanatical Second Salemers, a group looking to expose and destroy wizards and witches.”
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18, 2016.
