New image reveals Jason Momoa as Aquaman
Zack Snyder, director of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, has taken to Twitter to post an exciting new image after being somewhat quiet on social media. It’s a photo of Jason Momoa in full garb for his role as Aquaman:
‘There is only one true King.’ Momoa looks fantastic as Aquaman, and as his performance as Drogo in Game of Thrones has shown us, he can play gruff with just the right amount of heart. But what does ‘Unite the Seven’ mean? This is probably referring to the seven seas, as Aquaman – like his name suggests – has a proclivity for all things watery. Given the phrase’s huge bearing here, it probably references a big plot aspect for the character – but will that show on March 25, 2016 in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice when he first appears? Or will it be revealed in Aquaman, his solo movie, due July 27, 2018? Or even in 2017’s Justice League Part One? (Yes, we’re having trouble keeping up too.)
DC are, naturally, keeping things close to their chest – but this image is terribly exciting, as we have now – presumably – seen pro shots of all the superheroes present in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, along with Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Before, Snyder was keeping his distance when questioned about the presence of the character in his film – but thanks to this image, we now know it’s definitely happening.
