As suspected, the title for Spider-Man’s next solo movie, and the first set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The title was confirmed by Sony at CinemaCon (via Variety), where Tom Holland – the young British actor who will be wearing the suit – joined Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Motion Picture Group, on stage to reveal some details about the film:

“I’m Tom Holland and I’m your new Spider-Man,” he said wittily, then went on to explain that Homecoming would focus on Peter Parker/Spider-Man’s search for his identity. It will be about “Saving the world and getting your algebra homework done at the same time,” Rothman went on to explain. Sony closed out the presentation with a clip featuring Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man from Disney’s upcoming Captain America: Civil War, suggesting that the studio are fully embracing Spidey’s absorption into the MCU.
