Kodi Smit-McPhee has been cast as a young Nightcrawler in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie. The news comes via director Bryan Singer’s Instagram:

Nightcrawler, who’s alter ego is Kurt Wagner, has the ability to teleport, can stick to walls with his adhesive hands and feet, and possesses superhuman agility. His blue colour allows him to blend into the shadows; he also has a prehensile tail.
Smit-McPhee is known for his roles in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Paranorman and The Road.
