Olivia Wilde has officially commented about the rumors claiming she’s playing the title character in Captain Marvel. Hypable reports that Wilde denied the rumors on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“No!” replied Wilde. She “was thrilled” by the rumors, however, stating, “I think that would be amazing, but I had nothing to do with it.”
Although it appears Wilde is out, there are still rumors circulating that Rebecca Ferguson of Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and MMA fighter Ronda Rousey may be up for the role.
Captain Marvel is currently set to come out on March 8, 2019.
