Oscars Narrow Makeup and Hairstyling Race to 7 Movies

The Academy has singled out 7 movies to compete in the Makeup and Hairstyling race for the 88th Annual Academy Awards. Check out the list below:

Black Mass
Concussion
Legend
Mad Max: Fury Road
Mr. Holmes
The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared
The Revenant

The seven films above will be narrowed down to three when the Oscar nominations are announced on January 14, 2016. As of now, the front-runners seem to be Black Mass, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Revenant.

Surprisingly missing from the lineup are Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, The Danish Girl, Carol, and In the Heart of the Sea, just to name a few.
