Colin Firth has exited the Paddington Bear movie after mutual agreement that his voice didn’t suit the character, according to Entertainment Weekly. He said, “I’ve had the joy of seeing most of the film, and it’s going to be quite wonderful… I still feel rather protective of this bear and I’m pestering them all with suggestions for finding a voice worthy of him.”

Despite the need for StudioCanal to find a new voice for the little bear, Paddington is still planned for release in British theatres on November 28th, and on Christmas Day in the US.
