Production may have wrapped on Fast and Furious 8, but the Walker bros. have been in talks with Vin Diesel about possibly having Paul Walker’s character return as a brief cameo.

Caleb Walker told Entertainment Tonight, “I had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted [our] blessing,”

Vin Diesel’s idea was to bring the character back “to really kind of let his fans know he’s still out there.”

Cody then said, “Universal wants to make sure to be respectful of Paul and his image too, and his family,”

For Furious 7, the studio had the brothers act as stand-ins for Walker, while using CGI digital face remapping, this pushed production of the film back a few months and reportedly cost another $5o million.  It seemed like ‘Brian O’Connor’ had a conclusive ending to his story in the Furious 7, but I can see why Vin Diesel would want to tell audiences that his friend is still there in spirit.
