Following on from their brilliant work on the likes of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street and most recently, The Lego Movie – it did seem that directing duo Christopher Miller and Phil Lord were the perfect fit to take over the helm of the forthcoming Ghostbusters 3. Though reportedly Sony’s number one choice to direct, The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider has since tweeted that they have walked away from the project. The studio are now set to continue their hunt for a director, after their original choice Ivan Reitman exited following the death of Harold Ramis.

About Theo Pape

Theo Pape grew up on great movies, created Flickreel, and serves as its Editor-in-chief. He remembers vividly the moment his mind was blown as he witnessed Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman being catapulted over a castle wall when he was a child.
