The production date has been revealed for Ben Affleck’s upcoming Batman movie.
According to Joe Manganiello, who plays Deathstroke, The Batman will begin filming in spring 2017.
Manganiello announced the news to Entertainment Tonight:
“Just getting ready to go shoot Batman in the spring.” he said.
However, a release date is still yet to be revealed, although Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes did recently say that “it’s a year and a half out.” And Exhibitor Relations, a reliable movie stats firm, tweeted that Warner Bros. has announced two release dates for ‘event’ movies:
Stop the presses! UNTITLED WB EVENT FILMS are now set for 9/27/19 and 2/7/20.

It’s extremely likely that one of these will be a superhero flick, seeing as an ‘event’ film will mean a big blockbuster. So there’s a chance one could be The Batman. Having said that, with shooting set to start in Spring, a 2018 release date may be more realistic.
