Quentin Tarantino Comments on Kill Bill Vol. 3
It’s been over ten years since Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol. 2. According to Entertainment Weekly, Tarantino just may be on board for a third volume in the Bride’s revenge story.
“There definitely is a possibility. Stop short of seeing a probability,” Tarantino told Ben Mankiewicz in a What the Flick!? interview.
One of the reasons why a third Kill Bill has been put on hold for so long is because Tarantino’s been waiting for the characters to age. He added, “I put the character of Beatrix Kiddo through a lot, and so I wanted her to have this much time for peace… The whole idea [behind waiting so long between films] was everybody would be as old as they are.”
In the original Kill Bill, Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) was killed by Beatrix in front of her daughter. A third film would allegedly focus on Green’s daughter seeking vengeance for the death of her mother.
While it’s still unknown when or if Kill Bill: Vol. 3 will happen, we at least have Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight to look forward to.
