Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek movie just might happen
Quentin Tarantino is one of those filmmakers that’s always keeping audiences on their toes. Never in a million years did we expect him to make a Star Trek movie, however.
According to Deadline, Tarantino has a “great idea” for a film set in the Star Trek universe and has even talked to J.J. Abrams about it. There’s already discussion of putting together a writing’s room for the script with Tarantino directing and Abrams producing.
While this is only a rumor as of now, Tarantino is currently working on a film about the Manson Family murders. It’s been speculated that this will be his penultimate picture. So if a Star Trek project ends up being Tarantino’s 10th and final film, it’d certainly be an unexpected, albeit awesome, way to bow out.
