When the Assassin’s Creed movie was first announced, it already sounded like a promising project; Michael Fassbender was set to star and Snowtown director Justin Kurzel attached to direct, it has every chance of being the first great video game adaptation. And now we have learned that the film has begun production, and has a release date set: December 21, 2016. The plot will revolve around a man by the name of Desmond Miles (most likely played by Fassbender) who, via a high-tech DNA machine, is transported into the minds of his ancestors – all who happen to be assassins at different points in time, like the video games themselves. This has the potential to be a real treat for moviegoers, so it’s good to know that it’s finally on its way.
