Ridley Scott might direct Blade Runner 2 after all

Only just over a week ago we reported that Ridley Scott won’t be directing Blade Runner 2, but it now appears he may be having a change of heart. Speaking with Yahoo Movies he said that he doesn’t “know about [not directing Blade Runner 2] yet,” and went on to say that “It’s a tricky one because it’s so personal. The script is very, very good. Very good.” Harrison Ford is set to return, and filming due to begin in 2015, but if Scott does step up to the directors chair it would have to be delayed due to his commitment to The Martian.
