Rik Mayall passes away

Comedian and actor Rik Mayall has passed away at the age of 56. A spokesperson for the star’s management company told The Press Association that he died this morning, although a cause of death was not given. Best know for his comedic turns in the Blackadder, The Young Ones and Bottom TV series, he also featured in movies such as An American Werewolf in London and Drop Dead Fred. He was a true comic great who was dearly loved by British audiences and had the ability to carry shows. He will be sorely missed.
