Roberto Orci confirms he’s no longer directing Star Trek 3

Roberto Orci has confirmed that he is no longer acting as the director of Star Trek 3. He is still working on the film in the capacity of a writer and producer, however. Posting in the comments section of this article http://trekmovie.com/2014/12/05/report-orci-out-as-trek-3-director/ he said he is “still excited to make Trek 3! And on time. We’ll find the right director!” Time will tell if this is the case, as Star Trek 3 is due in 2016 to tie in with the franchise’s 50th anniversary…
