Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Ends 10 Minutes Before A New Hope
We all knew that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story would take place before Episode IV: A New Hope. However, it was unclear exactly how much time would pass between the events of the latest Star Wars prequel and the events of the original 1977 classic. Apparently, the two films are only separated by ten minutes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rogue One “takes place just before A New Hope and leads up to the 10 minutes before that classic film begins.” This makes sense, seeing how Rogue One follows the Rebels on their mission to acquire the Death Star plans.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Gareth Edwards’ film was undergoing reshoots. THR says that “the goal of the reshoots will be to lighten the mood” since Rogue One currently has the “feel of a war movie”.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16.
