As if anticipation for Disney and Lucasfilm’s upcoming sci-fi blockbuster Rogue One: A Star Wars Story wasn’t high enough, a new poster has arrived that will have fans salivating.
The new IMAX poster, via USA Today, shows off some of the main good guys involved in the film, led by Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones (Inferno):
A prequel to A New Hope, Rogue One tells the story of how a group of resistance fighters plan to steal the plans to a new super weapon at the disposal of the Empire: the Death Star.
Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Alan Tudyk and Forest Whitaker co-star in the film directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla).
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in the UK on December 15th.
