Rogue One: A Star Wars Story international trailer arrives

As the promotional machine cranks up towards next month’s release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm have released a new international trailer that features some new footage from the film including some new teases of Darth Vader.

The Star Wars spinoff, set before Star Wars: A New Hope, stars Felicity Jones (Inferno) as Jinn Erso who along with the resistance set about trying to steal the construction plans for the Empire’s new weapon: the Death Star, a monumental machine that could wipe out the Resistance forever.

Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Alan Tudyk and Forest Whitaker co-star in the film directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla).

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in the UK on December 15th.
