Rooney Mara and Tatiana Maslany up for Star Wars standalone?

It appears we may have our first rumours concerning the casting of the Star Wars standalone / spin-off film, due in December 2016. The Hollywood Reporter have reported that both Rooney Mara, of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo fame and Tatiana Maslany of TV show Orphan Black, are up for the lead part in the movie which will be directed by Gareth Edwards. Their screen-tests will be sometime this week, following script readings last December. The filmmakers are also interested in Felicity Jones, who is hot properly since her Oscar nomination for The Theory of Everything, but scheduling conflicts may not work out in her favour. The as-yet untitled Star Wars standalone movie, heavily rumoured to follow a group of bounty hunters around the galaxy, has been gaining traction of late; Gary Whitta, the movie’s original writer, left the project, while Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future PastStar Wars Rebels) has joined The Empire Strikes Back scribe Lawrence Kasdan for the second standalone film, which will be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle). Who do you think will fit the Star Wars universe better – Rooney Mara or Tatiana Maslany?
