While X-Men: Days of Future Past continued the storyline that began in X-Men: First Class, it didn’t feature one of that movie’s biggest elements: Rose Byrne’s Moira McTaggert. The character was pivotal in the mutant’s efforts in the 2011 film, but was left out for Days of Future Past for whatever reason; however, we have now learned via Entertainment Weekly that Byrne will be reprising the character for X-Men: Apocalypse. In an interview, writer / producer Simon Kinberg stated, ‘She’s a significant character in the movie… We ended First Class with Charles having wiped portions of her memory of her experience with the X-Men. They are, essentially, strangers to her when she meets them.’ It’s lucky that the superhero genre has as lot of creative license with its characters, especially when it comes to memory; are you glad that Byrne will be returning as McTaggert in X-Men: Apocalypse?
