It’s been confirmed that Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk will be in Thor: Ragnarok. However, we haven’t learned much about his role in the Marvel sequel. According to Geek.com, the Hulk’s appearance in the third Thor movie will tie into his disappearance at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Rumors suggest that the plot will involve Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Hela (Cate Blanchett) teaming up to destroy Thor’s hammer. After getting banished from Asgard, Thor will wind up in a gladiator-styled battle against the one and only Hulk. Eventually, the God of Thunder and the green giant will join forces to take down the villains.

This storyline isn’t set in stone yet and could go through some significant changes. However, Ruffalo has described the film as a “universal road movie” in an interview with Empire.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to come out on November 3, 2017.
