Runtime for director’s cut of Batman v Superman is revealed

Zack Snyder has revealed the runtime for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director’s cut.

He’s announced that it will be a half an hour longer than the theatrical release which puts the film’s total run time up to just over three hours.

The added footage will also sees the director’s cut’s rating change to R. Producer Deborah Snyder told THR: “Some of the additional material is some of the stuff we took out for the rating,” before Zack Snyder added. “When [the Motion Picture Association of America] looked at [the film] again, they were like, ‘Oh, now the movie’s rated R.'”

Snyder did confirm that there’s no nudity but just “a little bit of violence” to warrant the R rating.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits screens on March 25.
