Ryan Gosling has James Bond odds dramatically slashed

La La Land Oscar-nominee Ryan Gosling has his name added to the list of 007 contenders, after bookies slash his odds in the running to be named the next James Bond.

Bookmakers William Hill slashed The Notebook star’s odds from 14/1 to 10/1. A spokesman for the betting firm, said the change was because of Gosling’s “cool” Bond-like reaction to the whole Oscar envelope fiasco:

“Ryan Gosling showed an admirable sense of humour and his composure was worthy of Mr Bond – the coolest cucumber of the lot.” said William Hill Spokesman, Rupert Adams.

Gosling could be seen laughing on stage as it was revealed that La La Land had mistakenly been named Best Picture instead of Moonlight.

Daniel Craig still seems the most likely to play Bond next though, at least according to his co-star, Naomie Harris, who expects to see Craig back as 007:

“I think there’s a very good chance that Daniel will come back. I think it’s way too early to be thinking about other people at this stage. If I was going to bet, that’s the way I would bet.” she said.

Michael Fassbender, Aidan Turner, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy remain the favorites with the bookies though.

And it’s expected that a casting announcement will soon be made as it’s been reported that Bond 25 is already in early stages of production, as according to MI6 HQ, production company Eon is in ‘advanced negotiations’ to shoot the film in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
