Sally Field slams Spiderman films
Sally Field played Aunt May in both The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel but she has revealed that she wasn’t in fact keen on the films.
When asked on The Howard Stern Show if she liked the latest Spider-Man films, she said:
“Not especially, it’s not my kind of movie. But my friend Laura Ziskin was the producer, and we knew it would be her last film, and she was my first producing partner, and she was a spectacular human.”
Field went onto add that she didn’t put “a great deal” of effort into her role as Aunt May.
“It’s really hard to find a three-dimensional character in it, and you work it as much as you can, but you can’t put ten pounds of s**t in a five-pound bag,” she said.
So it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing an Amazing Spider-Man 3 anytime soon, especially with Sally Field on board.
