Scarlett Johansson confirmed for Captain America: Civil War

In an interview in Bejing, the Russo brothers confirmed that Black Widow will be back for Captain America: Civil War, and that Scarlett Johansson will be reprising her role to play the super spy in what will be the character’s fourth film appearance. Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed last year’s massive Marvel hit Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will be back in the chair(s) for the upcoming film which will be released on May 6, 2016, and it’s no surprise that Scarlett will be back as Black Widow; her appearance in both The Avengers and The Winter Soldier was a big hit for fans. But the biggest question is this: just how will Captain America: Civil War work with so many characters at once? The plot sees Tony Stark face off against Steve Rogers (AKA Cap) in a huge struggle of civil liberties versus governmental policies, and as a result will involve a huge number of characters in the fight. Chadwick Boseman is already set to debut his superhero, Black Panther, in the film, while Robert Downey Jr will be fighting for screen time with lead Chris Evan, not to mention the return of Frank Grillo as Crossbones. We’re sure that Johansson will be a great inclusion for Captain America: Civil War – hopefully she won’t be sidelined.
