Scarlett Johansson to star in live-action Ghost in the Shell movie

Scarlett Johansson will star in DreamWorks’ live-action Ghost in the Shell movie, an adaptation of the classic manga and anime series. Having recently starred as the lead in action sci-fi thriller Lucy and soon to reprise her role as Black Widow in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she has already proven her aptitude for this type of role. Ghost in the Shell‘s story will follow “the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specialises in fighting technology-related crime”, according to Variety.
