Schwarzenegger says “I’ll be back” for next Terminator movie

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed his involvement in the next Terminator movie, which is being produced by franchise-originator James Cameron. Speaking to ScreenDaily at Cannes, he confirmed that the project “is moving forward”, that he “will be in the movie”, and that he feels Cameron “has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise.”

This should certainly help, considering that – although Cameron backed the previous installment, having not actually been involved with its production – Terminator Genisys was pretty much slated across the board (including our own review. The only thing saving it from bombing at the box office, being stellar performance in China for a foreign movie. It will be interesting to see where Cameron and Schwarzenegger take the franchise; particularly how they may or may not work in the events of the previous movies – the franchise being so open to time-travelling manipulation of plot-lines.
