Seth Rogen cast in Steve Jobs biopic

If Danny Boyle directing a Steve Jobs biopic didn’t sound interesting enough, another reason to see it has just presented itself. Variety reports that Seth Rogen has been cast to star as Steven Wozniack, co-creator of tech product giant Apple. This follows news of Christian Bale being cast as the lead, while rumour of Jessica Chastain joining in an as-yet unknown role has also surfaced. We’re looking forward more and more to this movie (which currently has the working title Jobs, according to the IMDB), with Rogen’s Wozniack sure to be a bit of a comic foil to Bale’s Jobs. The movie itself is reportedly divided into only three scenes by writer Aaron Sorkin, each of them the launch of a major new Apple product – one of them being the Macintosh – but this almost arthouse structure will be given life by Danny Boyle, who signed on to direct after David Fincher dropped out. The picture doesn’t have a touted release date yet, but let’s expect this one sometime around late 2015 or early 2016 – just in time for Bale to pick up another gong during awards season, perhaps?
