Seth Rogen lands live-action Lion King role

Seth Rogen looks set to lend his voice to Disney’s live-action The Lion King remake. The Superbad actor is in talks to play a popular character in the film.

The Wrap reports that Rogen will voice the role of Pumbaa, with Billy Eichner taking on the part of his meerkat companion Timon.

Timon (left) and Pumbaa (right) even have their own TV spinoff.

We already know that Donald Glover will play Simba and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Simba’s father, Mufasa.

While Rogen and Eichner are in final negotiations to join the remake. The duo have history, having starred together in Neighbors 2 and Billy on the Street.
