Sony announces release dates for Jumanji, Bad Boys 3, and more

Now that’s what we call a slate: Sony Pictures have just announced a slew of upcoming movies for the not-too-distant future, the most notable of which are are all reboots, remakes, or sequels of some kind. Here’s the full list (thanks to TheWrap):

• The Shallows – 24/06/2016
• Ghostbusters – 15/07/2016
• Patient Zero 02/09/2016
• The Magnificent Seven – 23/09/2016
• Underworld 5 – 21/10/2016
• Passengers – 21/12/2016
• Jumanji – 25/12/2016
• The Dark Tower – 13/01/2017
• Resident Evil 6 – 27/01/2017
• Bad Boys 3 – 17/02/2017
• Baby Driver – 17/03/2017
• Barbie – 02/06/2017
• Uncharted – 30/06/2017
• The Lamb – 08/12/2017
• Bad Boys 4 – 03/07/2019

So what do we have here? For starters, we have not one, but two Bad Boys movies lined up; Ghostsbusters has shifted to a slightly different release date; The Dark Tower is finally rolling into production; Edgar Wright’s next project, Baby Driver, now has an official date; that dreaded Jumanji reboot is still going ahead. Oh, and there’s going to be a Barbie movie, apparently.

We’re most excited about Baby Driver, The Dark Tower, and Passengers (a sci-fi romance starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence). What about you?
