A Mario movie is being discussed between Sony and Nintendo, leaked emails from the recent Sony Pictures hack have revealed. BuzzFeed have obtained emails which contain deep negotiations between the studios over the rights to produce an animated feature starring the much loved character.
Sony are also currently working on a hybrid animated/live-action Sonic movie and Ratchet & Clank, an animated feature film due for release next year.
Producer Avi Arad has denied that the Mario deal has closed yet however.
