Star Wars 8: Leia to reunite with Kylo Ren?

A Star Wars: The Last Jedi leak reportedly reveals that Carrie Fisher’s General Leia will see her son Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver, in “emotional” final scenes of the upcoming movie.

There’s already been plenty of speculation as to whether she will finally see her son Ben aka Kylo Ren and forgive him for killing Han Solo. According to Star Wars expert Mike Zeroh and his sources at Pinewood, the two characters are set for a “mother-son reunion”:

“Leia is going to have two big key scenes.. and in at least one of them she interacts with one of the main characters. I believe that will be her reuniting with her son, Ben Solo, now known as Kylo Ren. We have heard this before in the past. I believe a mother-son reunion would really touch a lot of people’s hearts. Maybe she (Leia) passes the torch as general of the Resistance to someone else? Perhaps the character that her (Carrie Fisher) daughter Billie Lord plays?”

Another recent leak from the Nerdist states that Leia and Supreme Leader Snoke will face-off in the film. If it’s true, then it would also backup this latest report that she will see her son, as she would then presumably be at The First Order’s base.

When Episode 8’s director Rian Johnson was asked whether the film will “wrap up Leia’s story nicely,” he didn’t give too much away but did confirm that she will provide “emotional satisfaction” for the audience:

“Carrie gives a really beautiful performance in the film. We obviously didn’t make the movie to be her final Star Wars movie. Given that though, I think there are scenes that she has that are going to mean a lot to people and there are scenes that we have with her where now not having her around I watch them and I think I’m really thankful that we have that and we can give that to people. So, ‘wraps up nicely?’, I don’t know but it emotionally gives some kind of catharsis I guess, gives some kind of emotional satisfaction, I really think so, I hope so. I know for me it does.” he said.

We can find out the facts when Star Wars The Last Jedi arrives on December 15. See its trailer below in the meantime:
