Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley shows her martial arts skills

Daisy Ridley who played Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently preparing to reprise her role in Star Wars: Episode VIII by practicing Chinese martial arts.

Rey posted a video to Instagram showing off her skills:

In the video, she is trained by  “Wushu fricking master” and stunt performer Liang Yang actually appeared in The Force Awakens as stormtrooper TR-8R.

Ridley posted as the caption to the video: “I always try to get [Yang] to teach me things… this was today!” Ridley wrote. “Obvs not great but he’s amazing and he’s also featured at the end.”

“Our stunt team are the most incredible group of people, so lucky I get to train with them!”

Star Wars: Episode 8 began shooting earlier this year and is due out on December 15, 2017.
