Star Wars: Episode VIII Begins Filming

Despite getting its release date pushed back, Star Wars: Episode VIII is moving ahead as planned. During a call with an investor (via Entertainment Weekly), Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that Episode VIII is now filming.

Iger also said that “Filming of Rogue One is virtually completed and we absolutely love what we’ve seen so far.” Meanwhile, Star Wars: Episode IX has also started production.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to come out December 15, 2017 while Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16, 2016. As of now, we can plan on seeing Star Wars: Episode IX sometime in 2019. Oh, and let’s not forget about the Han Solo anthology film that comes out on December 15, 2017.
