In a recent interview with Cinema Blend, George Lucas was asked to divulge some of the ideas which he says he had cooked up for a new Star Wars trilogy before Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney back in 2012. He said:

Martial arts stars from The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2 are set to appear in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Twitch Film has learned. The Raid lead Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman will all appear in The Force Awakens, however it is currently unknown in what capacity. They’ll likely be putting their combat skills to good use though, as J.J. Abrams has committed to using real-life stunts in place of a purely digital effects-approach.
