In a bizarre turn of events, Sylvester Stallone has hit out at British comedian Jack Whitehall over his Oscar story.
Whitehall jokingly said that he consoled Stallone after he missed out on the Best Supporting Actor award for Creed. He told Mirror Celeb: “I walked straight into Sylvester Stallone afterwards at the Governors Ball.
“I had to console him about missing out on his Oscar, telling him there was always next year. Or maybe if he did Creed 2 he might get a nod. I think it reassured him.
“Also, because he knew I was English, I had to tell him who Mark Rylance was. I talked him through all of Mark’s performances at the Globe Theatre. Good old Sly, I loved him in Creed. And I love Mark Rylance, so I had to remain pretty neutral about it.”
Stallone is not happy about Whitehall’s sarcastic story as he responded heavily on twitter:
"JACK WHITEHALL CONSOLED SLY AFTER OSCARS " I NEVER met this young man Pity it has to be under these circumstances pic.twitter.com/srLA2fPNqS

He also shared the story on his Instagram with the caption: “why would anybody create insulting lies that only distort wonderful memories. Why do it?”
Fresh Meat star Jack Whitehall was attending the Oscars for the first time and may not get a second invitation if Stallone gets his way.
UPDATE: Whitehall has responded with a statement:
“It’s sad Sly doesn’t remember meeting me. Clearly I made very little impression on him. The same thing happened with Eamonn Holmes at the TV Choice Awards.”
And so the feud continues, we’ll be sure to keep you informed of any more updates on this one.
