Terry Gilliam’s Don Quixote has finally finished shooting
Terry Gilliam has announced that he’s finished filming his long-awaited movie, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
Gilliam has been trying to make the film since 1998 and at long last he has! He revealed that production was now completed on Facebook:
“After 17 years, we have completed the shoot of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.”
The Monty Python legend attempted to make the movie eight times over the years but the project never fully took off. That was until last May, when we got the exclusive news that the film was back up and running and would feature Michael Palin and Adam Driver:
Amazon Studios have put their money and backing into the film, which is based on the novel by Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra. Jonathan Pryce stars in the lead role as the famous Spanish knight, with Olga Kurylenko, and Stellan Skarsgård also on board.
A release date is yet to be announced but with production now complete, we can expect to see it sometime next year.
