The new Beauty and the Beast poster looks enchanting

Emma Watson, who will be playing Belle in Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, has revealed the film’s first official poster.

The Harry Potter actresses posted the poster on Facebook, writing, “Very excited to reveal the first teaser poster for Beauty and the Beast, exclusively for my Facebook fans! Hope you like!”

The first poster gives us a look at the enchanted red rose the Beast conceals in his icy castle. As the opening narration of the 1991 animated feature explained, “If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return, by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a Beast for all time.”

Directed by Bill Condon, Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, 2017.
