The Omen Prequel in Development

20th Century Fox is developing a prequel to the 1976 horror classic, The Omen.

The Hollywood Reporter says Antonio Campos of Christine and Simon Killer is in line to direct with a script by Ben Jacoby. David Goyer will produce the project through Phantom Four Films.

This prequel will be called The First Omen. The original film centered on a couple that start to suspect their son, Damien, is the spawn of Satan. It previously inspired a 2006 remake, which received mostly negative reviews.
